Best color ever! Great cut! – So I'm always apprehensive m about a cut and color. School or salon. So I decided to try this school.And this was awesome! The instructor listened and he guided the student. One slipped foil but they fixed it quickly. Turned out beautifully! I'm pleased n the cuts ideal. Great staff start to finish! Building was clean and filled with busy active students. I was impressed. Definitely recommend and repeat customer. Been almost a month and color needs a touch. Guess where I'm going...ctbc.
BEWARE! – The Deen of Instuction felt it was more important to enforce a new rule than to accomodate a person in a wheelchair. She insisted this person sit in the middle of the lobby while waiting to get a haircut. No he could not go sit beside his wife out of the way of others, but instead was escorted back to the lobby waiting area to sit in the middle of the floor for all to have to go around him. Horrible Instructors, Avoid this school – I've come here before and always had a good experience, albeit my hair is normally a little shorter than I'd like after the instructor touches it up. When I went to get my hair cut this time I HAD really long hair, the girl spoke nothing but chinese or japanese, and had never cut hair before. Central Texas Beauty College Sucks!!! – 1. I was a customer in June of 2009 and because the instructor wanted to go home at 6:00pm and I had been there since 9:00am gettng braids, the instructor made my hairdressor and myself go to the parking lot and finish. The owner came by and saw us out there but did not make any changes to remidy the situation. 2. Great hair for a great price by great students – It seems that "asianflav" thought she was in a New York upscale hair salon. This is a low-price beauty college...what were you expecting? I have gone there at least 5-6 times to get a haircut and colored. I have never been dissapointed. The only downside is you have to allow plenty of time because it does take a long time, as they are still learning and trying to get it right! Great low-cost haircuts and highlights – I have been to the CTBC three times now, and have been impressed with all three visits. Each time I had a haircut (around $5, I think), and 2 of those I also had highlights (around $35-40?). Very professional work. They take their time to get it right (translate to give this experience twice as long as you would if you were to go to a full-running salon!), but remember they ARE students! Shouldn't even be allowed to call itself a SCHOOL – This school is a joke. If you want someone that speaks english, go somewhere else. Not to mention the completely ridiculous lady that is supposedly the director of the school. Nothing is nicer than having her SCREAM accross the very large room at the students while they are doing your hair because she is obviously too lazy to get out of her tiny office.
