STAY AWAY FROM HAINES & KRIEGER – I agree with So Unhappy and very much in the same boat. They were great with the initial consultation. Met with the Attorney himself and got a payment plan from him. We paid this amount for about 1 year. Then we get a call for more paperwork but NEVER called back. Next thing we know, we received our confirmation papers and found out that our payment went up by $1000.00 more a month with no advance warning AND the new payment was due 2 days later. Find another Attorney – I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE! They were great with the initial consultation, but afterwords they were terrible. They lost my original documents which left me scrambling to get new docs. They didn't explain anything, they also told me that there might be a chance to get the bk discharged after a year - LIE!! After speaking with another attorney I found out that I can have my bankruptcy modified when H&K said I couldn't. Once your case is complete, don't expect them to help!
