I wouldn't recommend it... Hacienda is good...if you're new to Mexican food. Don't get me wrong, the food is edible. Not great, but not awful. It's just not authentic. At all. When it comes to the atmosphere, the same can be said. Not authentic at all. Their stereotypical 'Mexican' decor and the fact that they make their employees greet you by saying "Hola", just comes across as incredibly fake, almost to the point that it's annoying. I'm sure that your typical suburbanite Hacienda patron just eats it up though. So, to sum i... read more

Rude staff and indifferent mangement I have been a loyal patron of Hacienda Restaurants since they opened several decades ago. I have been to every Hacienda except the one in Evansville. I have always enjoyed Hacienda's good food, drink, atmosphere and pleasant staff. However, an incident which occurred during mid-August has changed my opinion about this restaurant. I went to the Hacienda Restaurant in Erskine Plaza (Miami Street, South Bend, Indiana) about 7:00 to get a drink and dinner. A young female bartender cursed and ... read more

Great Food Great Drink specials I love Hacendia. This is by far the best area resturant. The food is FABULOUS and their drink specials are great. A different one for every night of the week. I am a fan of the free chips and salsa as well. It is a great place to start your night before hitting the dance clubs and bars. A+

Horrible food and Service. Will never go back, EVER! The only reason it even gets one star is because that is the minimum. Not only is the service atrocious, but the food is NOT even close to consumable. I guess I should not be surprised that the food is bad at a "Mexican" restaurant that actually serves ranch dressing with the chips (literally). Here is the story... I have been there 5 times. I have only had to pay for one of those times because the service was so bad that the manager felt bad about it. The other time I sho... read more

5 stars from a self proclaimed Mexican food snob Ok, I admit it, I'm a bit of a Mexican Food snob. I've lived in LA for the last 10 years and have enjoyed many amazing Mexican restaurants during that time. Hacienda ranks up there as one of my favorites. The chips and salsa are fantastic, the wet burrito is so good it makes me cry, and marguaritas are excellent. Maybe it's not as authentic as many of places in LA, but it's great and a fun experience. PROS: Great Mexican food in South Bend CONS: The feeling you get 2 hours aft... read more

before you dine...consider this First let me start out by saying, I know several people who have worked for several of the various Haciendas. Their employees for the most part get treated like absolute crap, not by the management, but by the snobby, rude-ass customers that come in to Hacienda. Customers literally run their server's ass off and end up leaving them a whopping $3 tip on a $25 bill...which in case you're an idiot and cannot do math, that's not even a 15% tip. The vast majority of Hacienda patrons are constantly ... read more

Hacienda Mexican Restaurants is fantastic! Hacienda is great! For all you ignorant people, it's not supposed to be authenthic Mexican food. It's Mexican-American, and everyone knows it going in! The salsa is great and the wet burritos to die for. There is a reason you have to wait to get in most nights...it's THAT good!
