Horrible food and Service. Will never go back, EVER! The only reason it even gets one star is because that is the minimum. Not only is the service atrocious, but the food is NOT even close to consumable. I guess I should not be surprised that the food is bad at a "Mexican" restaurant that actually serves ranch dressing with the chips (literally). Here is the story... I have been there 5 times. I have only had to pay for one of those times because the service was so bad that the manager felt bad about it. The other time I sho... read more

5 stars from a self proclaimed Mexican food snob Ok, I admit it, I'm a bit of a Mexican Food snob. I've lived in LA for the last 10 years and have enjoyed many amazing Mexican restaurants during that time. Hacienda ranks up there as one of my favorites. The chips and salsa are fantastic, the wet burrito is so good it makes me cry, and marguaritas are excellent. Maybe it's not as authentic as many of places in LA, but it's great and a fun experience. PROS: Great Mexican food in South Bend CONS: The feeling you get 2 hours aft... read more

before you dine...consider this First let me start out by saying, I know several people who have worked for several of the various Haciendas. Their employees for the most part get treated like absolute crap, not by the management, but by the snobby, rude-ass customers that come in to Hacienda. Customers literally run their server's ass off and end up leaving them a whopping $3 tip on a $25 bill...which in case you're an idiot and cannot do math, that's not even a 15% tip. The vast majority of Hacienda patrons are constantly ... read more

Hacienda Mexican Restaurants is fantastic! Hacienda is great! For all you ignorant people, it's not supposed to be authenthic Mexican food. It's Mexican-American, and everyone knows it going in! The salsa is great and the wet burritos to die for. There is a reason you have to wait to get in most nights...it's THAT good!

Adios!!!, Hacienda. The following is the email I sent to Hacienda corporate after MY LAST visit to their restaurant: I visited your South Bend, IN restaurant on Fri 2-18-11 with some friends and was not at all satisfied with the service. Our server "XXXXX" was very slow getting our drinks, we received our drinks almost ten minutes after ordering (keep in mind we're eating dry chips and spicy salsa this whole time). We had to ask for every little thing and then wait to get it - XXXXX was not pro-active to our needs at all ( n... read more

Horrible food, NOT worthy of being called Mexican As a native Texan, I know what Mexican is supposed to be. Hacienda has NOTHING of quality. When the salsa is tomato sauce with onions, you know you have a problem. The margaritas are fine, but nothing to write home about, especially when the food is sub-par. No amount of excellent customer service and no amount of tequila can rescue the horrendously Americanized, bland food Hacienda dares to serve and call Mexican. You're better served at La Esperanza, Rico's, or any restaura... read more
