Amazing service. – First, I am a HUGE Aveda fan. I love the products. I have been to many salons, and this (today) was my first time at Habitude. I went for wax (facial hair is not attractive) and a hair trim. The outside appearance of the salon/spa was well-kept, well lit, and well signed. I arrived at 7:30 when my appointment was, and I can see that if I had booked earlier in the day, traffic wouldn't have been as accommodating, so I would recommend arriving early to find parking anytime you go (you only need 10 minutes or... read more
Bad Cuts, Bad Coloring, Bad service – It?s been almost a year since my summer of paying $$$ to look beautiful and I am STILL waiting for the mistakes made by Habitude stylists to grow out. I went in for a coloring, but the guy urged me to let him do some cutting that would look "fabulous." It was going to be quite shorter than the chest length uncolored hair I had at the time, but he seemed so certain that I would look like a supermodel if I took his suggestion, so I gave him the go ahead. I appreciate the no child policy!!! – So I've been going to Habitude for a short time and after just recently having my second child I am so thankful to be able to leave kids with dad on Sunday and go to a peaceful environment without children. It's not like they're saying kids can't even come in the building, mine did when my husband picked me up and they were more than curtious to them. Habitude at the Locks - Ballard / Seattle – Habitude is a great place for wasting your time and money but not a good place if you're looking for a massage or other personal care. Habitude operates on the principle that if customers spend more than they ordinarily would, the services must be excellent. WRONG. The services are mediocre, so go elsewhere and get more for your money. Not worth it! – It seems like a nice place and I got a great cut by Fredrick. However, the poor customer service and lack of community awareness, coupled with bad parking and a no child policy make this place less than acceptable.
OK Atmosphere, Decent Massages, But Needs Improvement – While not world-class, this spa delivers average services. I had a different experience than other reviewers with my massage -- it was actually very nice, professional, and expertly done. Good, facial, questionable customer service – I called Habitude before I made my appointment and asked "Who is your most popular estitician?" I was put on hold, and then waited a few minutes until the customer service rep got back on the phone and gave me an answer. I promplty scheduled and appointment with her. No Child Policy? – I've been going to Habitude for years and recently showed up for a scheduled appt. and was told to reschedule because of a "no child policy" I had my 10 week old son in a sling with me. Being a nursing mother made me uneligible to get a haircut, I guess. As all of you other moms know, it's pretty hard to get out of the house some days with your kids and to actually make it to an appointment on time and then be told that it wouldn't work for them really disappointed me. Habitude taking a nose dive – I want to like Habitude at the Locks, it's so convenient for me, but my experiences there over the past year, year and a half, have been pretty terrible. Poor customer service, bad hair cuts, and some of the front desk people have quite an attitude. They've got a great space, product line, location - hope they turn it around soon.
