About this business
Doug and Vickie Hardy have taken over Haar's Auction along with Connie and Al Darbrow and Sandra Haar effective March 1, 2003. Our grandfather Vance Haar started the auction business in the 1940's traveling around picking up and selling merchandise for people. His son George Haar joined him upon return of the military. In 1972 Vance Haar passed away leaving his legacy to his 4 children George, Boyd, Elwood and Claribel. They incorporated in 1974. FYI if your battery dies and the owners are the last ones here to help you, you're shit out of luck....Thanks Haars for leaving my son and I stuck here alone
I enjoy the movies, however some of the employees (same ones every time) are very rude.
Haars is a great family friendly place to go, kick back, and relax. The price is reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. My only recommendation would be to improve the bathrooms...they've been the same for 25 years since I first started coming. Clearly I don't mind that much because I keep coming. :-)
So much fun! Great movies. Great food at good prices for families. We have been going for many years.
I enjoy taking my kids from time to time, but their customer service is poor if you would need to get in contact with them. I have emailed and posted on their Facebook page regarding an injury my son obtained at the drive in that sent us to the ER before the first movie even started. They have failed to even acknowledge my post/email. I was not asking for a refund, but maybe a rain check. Even if they couldn't do that, they could've at least responded, I felt it was very poor of them.
I grew up coming to Haars Drive-In and have so many fond memories. I have also had the privelege to work for this business, and can honestly say the owners and their families are hardworking and great to work FOR. Theres no better way to spend a night with your family AND support our local businesses than at Haars Drive-In!
We celebrated our newly adopted 16 year old twins' birthday there. It poured rain but cleared up just in time for the movies. It was a great first memory doing something fun and classic :) There are few drive in movies left and I'm so glad we live near one of them!
I love coming here! Wish there were more drives still open!
