About this business
Doug and Vickie Hardy have taken over Haar's Auction along with Connie and Al Darbrow and Sandra Haar effective March 1, 2003. Our grandfather Vance Haar started the auction business in the 1940's traveling around picking up and selling merchandise for people. His son George Haar joined him upon return of the military. In 1972 Vance Haar passed away leaving his legacy to his 4 children George, Boyd, Elwood and Claribel. They incorporated in 1974. Very Rude women riding around in golf cart.... Very crowded... When lanes are full they should stop other patrons to come thru... Very dangerous for children with cars continuously riding by looking for spaces
My family enjoys going to the drive in. Just wish the ladies room wasn't so tiny. Lol.
Haar's is a wonderful classic drive in movie theatre. They play the old classic intermission trailers between shows. Food at the concession stand is the best around and prices are reasonable. Investments have been put back into the theatre and a new screen is replacing the old screen with work starting today. Still a great place. It is sad that there are so few of these places left. Family owned and operated. Make sure you get there early and get in line for the fries.
Loads of fun. Feel like I went back in time! Lots of food items to choose from. Great ice cream. So much fun sitting outside watching the movie on the giant screen.
Love to go to Haar's, however, be careful as you exit onto the highway. I almost lost a wheel as my right front tire hit a deep pot hole. Hopefully Haar's will take notice and fill it in for the safety of their customers.
Great drive in. Glad its still around. A few things people dont seem to get. Get there early (although the website needs to be changed to reflect their true opening time), follow traffic directions the people directing had always been friendly to us, bring a stereo (seriously it says this on their page and website) and park courteously. Would give 5 stars but they really need a smoking only section and to clean their bathrooms at least once.
Went several times over the last two years. Took our young boys 11 and 7. Had the pleasure of taking our grandkids too. Brought back great memories.
