RecommendedAnything John suggests..but my favs are the Grouper, Grouper cheeks and clams!!! Yummy!!
There is nothing like fresh seafood and this is THE place to get it on Oak Island.
Great fresh fish , got to try it
I have lived on Oak Island for 34 years and have been a pescatarian for 31 years. I frequent Haag and sons AT LEAST once a week for my seafood fix. Today though, I asked for a pound and half of tuna and " blue eyes" told me they had a yellow fin NC caught that was a little narrow and asked would I like " how many small steaks?", I said six. THESE ARE THE BEST STEAKS I HAVE EVER HAD, ( the least amount of muscle I have ever encountered!)even at high end restaurants! Great people and great fish! Stopped in to ask about Shad Roe, left with some great striped bass and it’s roe instead! It was all so good, so fresh. This place is exactly what you expect from your neighborhood fish market. We shopped here some last summer as well, the staff is always great at recommending and is knowledgeable. Thanks again to John today for taking great care of our dinner! We will be back soon!
