I was scheduled to have a five minute surgery today. I arrived at 11:15 for an 11:30 appointment. Long story short, the pre-op prep is two hours. TWO HOURS for a five minute procedure. They didn’t tell me that on the phone before scheduling the surgery. So I’m lying in a hospital bed or whatever you call it. Feet hanging over the edge (I’m 5’10 and the bed must’ve been 5’8). I have not had my appointment yet, but I received a call at 3:04 PM on 12/15—asking if I had copies of my ultrasound and mammogram because they did not have them on file. This call was made just one day before my scheduled appointment. I had no prior knowledge that these records were missing. This could have been addressed if they had called at least 1–2 full business days in advance so the documents could be sent over. No matter what time you call here they refuse to answer the phone and just send you to leave a voice mail.
