I had a wonderful meal here. Best I’ve had! Blackened grouper was out of this world. And the gumbo was excellent!!
The Best food my wife and I have had in a long time. the Island YAYA is a must try ! also the grouper roulade with its crab cake stuffing. nightly recommend
Such a great experience!! The sampler platter was big enough for two! It’s loaded! Of course we had to have dessert....peanut butter pie! Oh yeah...
Love their lunch specials! Many choices and only $7.99 and that includes tea. If you go for dinner try their YaYa!! So good!! Margaritas too!!
Was seated outside immediately when we arrived, she said she would be right with us....nobody ever came back. 20 min later we left, walked through the front door & they said have a great night. Really wanted to try it out but we were forgotten

I'm reading some of these reviews and I'm floored. I can't imagine the staff behaving badly because our experience was amazing. We went there because the place we tried to go to was stupid busy. We were greeted promptly, seated immediately, and were very well taken care of. Our server was outstanding!!! The food was fantastic!! Atmosphere was great and we will definitely return on our next Gulf Shores vacation.
I had the Mango Shrimp salad. I was absolutely amazed when I was getting close to the end of my salad and STILL had shrimp. And it was so good. Great service too! I absolutely recommend Gulf Island Grill!
My wife and I had lunch, spur of the moment, at the restaurant. It was absolutely the best choice we could make. The atmosphere was fun and our waiter, Aaron, was the best. He was friendly, attentive, made us feel welcome. A really great guy. The food. It was excellent. We had the St. Martin platter for two. It had shrimp, clams, crab legs, and the best cole slaw and hush puppies in Gulf Shores. We highly recommend eating there. And ask for Aaron.
We love the food it's amazing, but that's not the only reason we Kentucky Folk come back. We absolutely love your waiter Tyler he is a prime example of what customer service should be, he makes sure you feel right at home and he takes such good care of ya. His smile lights up the room. We love Tyler and this company should be proud of the job he does. We where there last year and we returned this year just to visit him and we will be back next year to eat and visit our favorite waiter! Thanks Tyler for the great service but ... read more
