Both Dr Rhonda Thurmond and Dr George Thurmond do NOT wear a mask during the exams!! Are you kidding me!?! I had a really strange experience here last year. I kept it to myself, but after a year it still irks me. This was my first optical visit of any kind, so I was a litter nervous to being with. The female doctor I saw briefly explained what all the test revealed, and then pivoted into trying to sell me makeup and skin care products? It was just so strange and unexpected for a doctors office visit. Very unprofessional and I don't intend on returning.
The staff is wonderful however, today I was called by a gentleman telling me my daughters glasses were ready and I politely asked him to check on my glasses and my fiancé’s glasses so that I only had to make one trip. He was nice and said sure. After being on hold for a few seconds a woman came one the phone and said harshly “IS THIS AMANDA?” I said yes, she said you just ordered your contacts on Friday so they are not in yet. Me still being polite, said no I’m checking on my glasses and she cut me off and said well we calle... read more

Not only was Rhonda Thurmond not wearing a mask during a global pandemic, but she tried to shame me for wearing one during my visit and tried to get me to remove my mask. She also went on bizarre conspiracy theory rants about how vaccines are dangerous and I would be stupid to get one, Bill Gates is killing children in Africa, and 5G cell phone signals are frying our brains. customer service. Doctor told his tech that he Would NOT call me back. I had a concern and nervous about why I was having a scan, because he DIDN'T explain anything and the gall to say he WOULDN'T call me back. TERRIBLE DOCTOR!!!
