A very confusing experience for me as a first-time home buyer. The communication was not good, too many people involved and no explanation of what the next step was and what to prepare for. The numbers for the monies due at closing kept changing, and the issue is not the changed, but why did they change. I also felt like I was rushed in the process. Run run run. Agent **** just called me very unprofessional at 9:30 at night and my emailed documents. Said she will inform ******* about the issue. Requesting I fax the documents. iPhones can scan and put forms in pdf form and they can get them email just fine. She had a nasty attitude and I will not be doing business with them. They are very sketchy from the beginning.

My experience with Guaranteed Rate Affinity has been by far the worst experience ever, there is lack of communication between there own departments, they have no sense of urgency and ask for documentation without looking at the task list. My biggest concern is that they shared my financial information with my realtor as he had to jump in to try to move things faster. They missed the original closing date, I had to request an extension and was also missed. They were requesting documentation the day of the closing. I lost my *... read more

My husband and I had the worst experience when purchasing our home. We found our home the ending of March 2022, I had every document possible that was needed, which was submitted, I also advise them that I needed to be out of my rental no later then May 2022 & had the funds ready to go. They dragged their feet for almost 4 months, I had to extend my rental an additional month, then I had to pack my stuff, moved it to a storage unit & then load it again to be moved to our home July 2022. I worked for this company as a loan officer for 5 miserable months and it is by far the worst mortgage company I have ever worked for. This company could mess up a mistake. There is no sense of urgency, no one in corporate knows whats going on, the underwriters dont know mortgage guidelines, processors dont respond to emails and they make careless and reckless mistakes. I'm a realtor and I will never use this company again. Absolutely incompetent. Wouldn't return my emails or phone calls. No urgency! My client is highly upset which hurts my reputation. Do yourself a favor and don't work with this company. Terrible

I applied for home mortgage on a link shared by *********************** from guaranteed rate and they shared my data with open databases! Dont do the mistake of applying to any mortgage with them as they share your personal information such as phone number, names, and loan requirements with 100s of brokers who will start calling, texting, voicemailing as soon as you hit the apply button. You will get minimum 100 calls every day and your privacy is compromised. Worst company to give any info! Please Avoid at any cost.

I will like people to know that they are highly incompetent group of people. we applied for investor loan. all the conversation from the start was for buying a property that we can rent. first they kept on dragging our case for more than a month until the closing date while kept sending updates that everything is good to go and 3 days before closing mentioned of issues that should have been addressed on day 1. later they put the blame on us rather accepting their mistake.
