G'Syl was started by Sylvia who use to work at DZANN but then opened her own salon down the street (South Main). Sylvia has been doing my hair since i was a little kid. I live out of town (4 hours away) but still come home to Salinas to get my hair cut and colored by Sylvia. The new salon is cute, comfortable, clean, and professional. The staff is fun and friendly. It is small and tucked away but worth going to. The staff is professional and friendly and willing to work with any requests you have. The decor makes for a warm atmosphere without losing the "spa" aspect. I really enjoy having my hair done there. Ask for Caroline Grice, shes the best! She especially good with hot, new styles.
