If you have a Subaru of any type Mike and the crew at GST are probably one of your safest bets in the bay area and most definitely in the east bay. I have been taking my car to GST for any repairs that my car needs for the past few years. Donna and Mike are very welcoming. Mike is a very good mechanic but unreliable. There was an issue with my oil pickup and upon replacing the parts mike advices me that my engine would blow-up pretty soon, therefore I asked for a quote for the rebuild, estimated time etc. Donna send me the list of the rebuild, and we have been in touch. Wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else. Mike has built my car from the ground up - it’s my third build. And the one I’m the happiest with by a country mile. The one star complaints on here - Subaru enthusiasts span a pretty broad spectrum of IQ - they all appear to come from people who can’t read the words BY APPOINTMENT.
