Love it! Great service, intriguing menu, grand restored building. A very special place.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the pharmacy but that was about it! The bathroom was smelly and dirty with the trash bag overflowing. The service was horrible. Didn't even give us tea with our meal until we were 1/2 eaten our food. Everything we needed like filling up water, tea or coffee we had to keep flagging the server down. Then the server left the bill at the table and never saw her come back and had to pay at the hostess station. The food was ok and had good taste. Just not worth the $12-20 a meal!
The decor & food was excellent but the wait staff needs more training. We ordered the delicious ginger carrot soup & bread but we did not receive bread until our meal was delivered. Our waiter did not return to refill our beverages or ask if we needed anything. I did not see the itemized bill but my waiter picked up my card from the table and waved off his co-worker who attempted to deliver the bill. They have good food and service, but they are very inconsistent which is frustrating. Several years ago we made it a Mother's Day tradition to eat here. Two years ago when we went they were only seating people that made reservations. Last year I planned ahead and called, but they said they weren't taking reservations. So we planned our visit for this year, and when we showed up they were only seating people that made reservations again. I guess we will have to find a new tradition. �
