Most brewpubs make average beer for average people, not the Grumpy Troll. Their beers were very delicious without going totally overboard. And using the spent grain to make the pizza crust was genius. One of the best pizzas I've had.
Fun spot with great food & beer...What's not to love?
I grew up around the area, the Grumpy Troll has always been a favorite of mine. I brought a friend through town and we decided to stop in to eat. The host was friendly, had us seated immediately. The problem, a server never came to the table. We sat for 8 minutes without being acknowledged. I understand places get busy, but all it would have taken was a "good afternoon, I'll be with you shortly." Great food, great beer, unfortunate customer service.
My son and future daughter in law took me there for my birthday lunch on the way to House on the Rock ! Food and service was great !
I love the food, big portions, and very tasty. The beer was excellent as always. The service was terrific, our waitress attentive to our needs.
