My daughter is about to turn 3 and her first cleaning went really well. The toys and lobby made her feel welcome from the first moment, almost like she was at a play place! The assistant was awesome by talking to my daughter's monkey and cleaning his teeth first to demonstrate what she was going to do. Despite not wanting to sit in the chair Dr. Reena did an amazing job talking and singing to her while she sat in my lap for the cleaning. We were very pleased with the work that Dr. Shah did for our daughter. She explained exactly what had to be done, and we were very comfortable having the procedure done in the hospital, expecially since general anesthesia was used. Few doctors will call to check on a patient within days of a procedure, so this was thoughtful of Dr. Shah as well. I am so glad she is our pediatric dentist.
Dr. Reena is an utter pro with little ones. Our son didn't shed a tear on his first visit. More importantly, we learned a lot about how we can improve his dental care at home. And maybe - just maybe - get him to stop sucking his thumb...
We love Dr. Elliot. She is great - smart, competent, kind to the kids and a perfectionist who goes the extra mile to do things just right. My daughter needed some hospital dentistry and it was amazing to see how well respected and liked Dr. Elliot is at the hospital (and the nurses certainly know who knows their stuff and who is the local butcher!).
Growing Smiles was a really wonderful experience for us. It was my 2 year olds first trip to the dentist and they really took the time to make her comfortable and worked quickly while explaining each step. It is a fun atmosphere so kids don't feel intimidated and Dr Elliot was super great in filling us in as parents while she comforted my daughter. I would highly recommend this practice!
My sons had teeth cleaning in early December then the older one returned to have a small filling. Each time we were met with warm receptions and timely appointments. Hats off to the staff at Growing Smiles. Great folks and wonderful experience.
