November 16, 2013 is a date I will never forget. I was out at the thrift shop in Grove City and I collapsed. September 25 I had a csection also at GCMC. My mom got me to GCMC’s ER and I collapsed again when Dr. Moldovan asked me to sit on the side of the bed to get my vitals and just like that they were in full swing taking care of me. I had a CT scan in minutes and they quickly came to the decision I needed to be on a life flight to UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh. I had Pulmonary Embolism and it was not good. I came into the ER in Respiratory Distress and was taken back immediately. The Respiratory therapist Tricia spent hours stabilizing my airway. At the same time a nurse from Acute Care Unit Charlotte spent hours sitting by my side holding my hand and controlling my breathing. Care continued to be exceptional on the Acute Care Unit. Just to name a few Beth, Sabrina, Sara, Christy, and an amazing CNA Tami!! All provided me passion and care to the highest!
My husband Doug had a total hip replacement on Wednesday with Dr. Hooks. He is home and doing great with very little pain. We would like to thank Dr. Hooks and the awesome nurses and staff at Grove City Medical Center. Are experience couldn't of been better. Thank you so much.
