With legends like Frank Sinatra and Robert De Niro having frequented this place, Grotta has always been one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The 'Blue Grotto' disappeared for six years since its opening over a century ago, however it reopened with renewed vigor again to much fanfare. The multi-level eatery still retains some historic features like the marble and mosaic floors; and its vintage mahogany bar and wine cave stack about 1,600 bottles.

Had their lunch special ($9.95 | 2-course) and was satisfied for the rest of the day. High quality food cooked perfectly. The staff was great, the restraunt had a nice interior, never felt crowded. Would recommend.
