A restaurant for seasonal, local, delicious food, grown by our farmers and served with love in the historic Shamrock house in the Whiteaker. At Grit we are completely devoted to food, food sovereignty, people, laughter, love, this community and eating. We offer a bi-weekly-changing, fixed four-course dinner for $35. An additional menu is also available.

Everyone enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch. It was delicious from the coffee to the last bite!
I have been frequenting this restaurant at least once a week for almost 2 years now. The owner, chefs, and staff are all superb with some of the best service I have ever received at any restaurant. The food is out of this world and every attention is paid to the issue of sustainability, pasture raised, organic, and local, using seasonal wildcrafted additions. Grit is my "third place" - a place different than work or home and which research shows to significantly reduce stress hormones. Thank you Grit Kitchen chefs and staff!

We had a fabulous dinner there last night! The service was amazing and our food was delicious! I highly recommend it!
The food was fantastic! But it took a long time (>30 minutes) to get each drink; even the sweet tea took that long.
