A restaurant for seasonal, local, delicious food, grown by our farmers and served with love in the historic Shamrock house in the Whiteaker. At Grit we are completely devoted to food, food sovereignty, people, laughter, love, this community and eating. We offer a bi-weekly-changing, fixed four-course dinner for $35. An additional menu is also available.

Pan seared duck was absolutely amazing. Our server (for the life of me I can't remember her name) was amazing, personable and attentive. Tried a drink called Rosemary's Baby (Halloween + rosemary infused vodka = the great name) was super tasty. 3 of us had one and loved it. Can't believe this was our first time. Will definitely go back.
Some of the best food I've ever experienced. Worth every penny. Everyone at our table got a different entree and played musical plates- there wasn't one bite we didn't! I even liked the lamb, which was a first for me!
The best meal I've had in Eugene in years. The steak is perfect.
We've been to Grit several times now. It was recommended by an acquaintance of ours who is a chef at a large, local hotel. It is now our preferred restaurant for a truly nice dinner or when we want to celebrate something. Food is always excellent and the staff very attentive without being constantly at your table.
The rabbit was good, the gravy was tasty, but no amount of gravy or rabbit could save the stone dry biscuits.
My husband and I love Grit. We have never been disappointed.
Stopped in for appetizers and drinks and as always never disappoints!
