The atmosphere is very laid back. The service was great. There are outside bars and entertainment While you wait. The food is incredible.

Been there years ago and took my Hubby and we both loved it. Great service!
Gristmill is just an awesome place. Excellent food with large portions. Country music playlist was perfect. Only complaint; The particular waiter that we got didn’t seem very friendly. He had an attitude that took away from the experience. Regardless, good experience. On our way out, we asked a young lady about any local attractions, and she was superb about pointing us the right way.
I loved the food and the open air dining great place.
Loved the ambiance and view of the river!! Great food and Janea was best waitresss ever!! Give that Girl a raise!!!!

Fast service- if you’re hungry go there. If you want to have a relaxing dinner without feeling rushed-don’t.
Wellllllll the view and atmosphere are great, however I ordered a chicken fried steak that was small to average in size and it only came with one side?? My son ordered a burger and no sides are offered with burgers, no frys, chips, onion rings, so he ordered frys which were extra and they were horrible potato wedges, my food was good, it’s overpriced to, like I said atmosphere and being on the river is what saves this place and I Love Gruene so next time it’ll just be drinks there!
