If you make it down here this is a must try restaurant the experience was great and I love lil ole German town

There were 5 of us & we were seated promptly. Even though the temperature was in the 90's, we were very comfortably seated inside with a breeze flapping the shade next to us. Our server was super friendly & helpful and the food was yummy.

Gristmill has always been a great place for dining and entertainment. They may want to consider a better solution for this Texas heat.
Had been craving chicken fried chicken for a while. On our recent trip to the river we stopped and had lunch there. By far the Absolute BEST Chicken Fried Chicken I've had. I'd love to the open windows! I look forward to another trip and will definitely be stopping for lunch again.
The chicken fried steak was awesome. I ate every last drop. The portion was big. I never eat that much, but it was so lightly crunchy and deelish.
The place was packed so we had about a 20 minute wait on a Tuesday. Service and food was excellent. I had the peppered filet with fresh steamed squash & zucchini, my husband had the tuna with mashed potatoes, and we both had salads (spinach salad is sooo good!) and chips with tomatillo salsa (yum!). Everything was delicious and they serve extremely large portions, so we had leftovers. We can’t wait to go back.
