Griffith observatory has it all: fantastic architecture, a historic landmark, legendary film shooting location, an excellent museum, and a view over the city that can't be beat.
I was there in summer of 2016 -- it was hot in L.A. The observatory is amazing -- get there in the late day & stay until the sun goes down. Best of both worlds -- day & night 🌞💙 🌙
Nice enjoyable grounds and vistas to observe LA. $15/hr for parking is a bit ridiculous though.
Love this place when I come to California it’s a must! The views are outta site and you can see the Hollywood sign perfectly!
