Great views of the city and the Hollywood sign. Parking is tough to find and the shows are worth watching.

Been to the observatory numerous times over the last ten years when visiting LA and loved it. This year we brought our family (we're from England) and made a point of trying to get to see it again and show them a much loved place but failed to get anywhere near it, twice, during our holiday! Parking is actually ridiculous, we've never had trouble in the past and always gone in peak times too. Attendants were telling visitors to park way down the hill and these people were then having to walk miles back up, contending with on... read more

A great lookout point with free wifi. We didn't stay long as we prefer to tour around.

I recently went last week to the observatory with my family. We paid for our tickets to the show in the planetarium. My son who is in a special needs class has sensory issues will be upset if it's something that bothers him. He wasn't use to the loud sound it made suddenly and cried a little. I'm trying to soothe him and comfort him trying to get him use to it and relax him. And the staff tell me to keep him quiet. I said ok. But I can't control his uneasiness.
