The observatory itself is great as it's always been, but the parking situation has become oppressive. They charge to park now (they didn't used to), and if there is a 'special event' going on, you can't park up at the top (the top lot was TOTALLY EMPTY btw). Or you are forced to take a shuttle from the Greek Theater that seems to take a lot longer than it should. I don't remember parking ever really being that much of an issue that it needed to change like this… They have ruined it with improvements. Shame…
We could not get anywhere near it. They kept directing traffic to distant parking lots and we had someone who was injured and couldn't hike the hill. We told them this and it didn't matter. Very disappointed.
RecommendedAmazing place difinately worth a visit but if you can do it on a clear day it’s even better.
