Honest reliable and quick Gretchen's is the place that we take our cars to if they have some type of engine trouble, or need an oil change. They are extremely honest, and will not add on extra stuff as would a jiffy lube or the dealer to try to create additional expenditures. We have always been satisfied with Gretchen's, and they give ladies a pretty flower when they come to pick up their car.

Gretchen's is World Class I searched all over Long Beach, trying to find a reliable value-priced service department for my car. It seems that you always look as far away as you can, because the neighborhood shop can't possibly be good enough. Gretchen's is. They're open early and late and will make arrangements when I can't make it during normal hours. NOT GOOD HORRIBLE... THEY KEPT MY VAN FOR DAYS, AND LIED ALL THE TIME THAT IT WAS THERE. Finally, i picked it up and took it to another shop, and had it back the same day. They are the worst people to work with. .

I had very low tire pressure in one of the wheels, usually because of nail or something. They checked it out thoroughly (though only visually) and determined that there was no nail in the tire, and that the low pressure was something else. They could have taken the tire out, checked and found nothing and charged me the fee. Instead, they aired the 4 tires up and charged nothing. At my own discretion, I tipped the guy and that was it. Gretchen's is the best. My car broke down and I was not in a financial position to have it repaired. They stored it for me and helped me find a new one. After several months it was apparent it wasn't going to work out which is no fault of theirs. They purchased my vehicle from me and even gave me some tips about the car I was thinking of purchasing. I have had 4 cars that have gone to Gretchens over the years they have been there. I have never had any problem with any repairs, never had attitude, always had work done timely, everything worked well after the repair. I have been to other places, and had problems with them, but never with Gretchen's. I drove 4-5000 miles a month on one car, and they kept it going fine. My other cars are always fine because of the service they provide.

Had an issue with my husbands car not starting. I called Gretchens, they arranged to send a tow truck to my house to pick up the car. Called me a couple hours later with their findings. Said they wanted to keep it overnight just to make sure their work totally resolved the problem. The next morning they called, said everything was good. $55 later the car was fixed AND washed. Every service comes with a bottle of wine or a bouquet of flowers. They also offer shuttle service.

Awesome people. Great service. They even dropped me off at my apartment and then delivered my car back to me the same day.

They replaced my interior air blower (in a GM ENVOY), in under 4 hrs. I would not attempt such a task unless I was suicidal. So I consider this a miracle. Mind you this is the most complicated car I have ever owned. EVERYTHING is to some degree adjustable via a central computer.
