19 year ago I was diagnosed with Cancer of the tongue, Dr. Weinstein and his team at Penn were and are the best. I have been cancer free all these years because of him and his team. Although I,m not one to write reviews I feel compelled to compliment Dr. Weinstein and his outstanding staff. His professional staff was compassionate, friendly and comforting in a trying time.Dr. Weinstein saved my life after catching a mistake made by another facility ( not affiliated with UPENN) his confidence and knowledge is reassuring. Dr Weinstein saved my life. When i first learned i had cancer, I was in shock. The first hospital told me surgery was not an option. Dr Weinstein's first words to me at our initial visit, after reviewing all my scans and a thorough exam were "This is cureable with a good prognosis for a high quality of life. I am now Cancer free thanks to Dr. Gregory Weinstein. 8 years ago I met with Dr. Weinstein as a second opinion concerning a throat cancer diagnosis. His professionalism and confidence in his ability to cure my cancer made my decision easier to move forward with the surgery. The whole journey was also made easy by the great staff he has working along side him every day, very friendly, patient and professional. I was fortunate to be treated by Doctor Weinstein for Larynx Cancer. After being told by another Doctor that I should have my vocal cords stripped, Doctor Weinstein offered a surgical technique that he actually invented. In June 2008, at the age of 60, I was diagnosed with Base of Tongue cancer with a poor prognosis.
