I have been a patient of Dr. Lercel for three years and have had both of my knees replaced. Dr. Lercel has always been professional and caring. He gave me the opportunity and encouragement to make the most of the rehabilitation process. Even though I did a lot of research on my own, I always got additional insight and answers from Dr. Lercel. I am very happy with the outcome of both surgeries and would and have recommended Dr. Lercel.
He is very thorough and knowledgeable. Not super friendly but very professional. Office is busy but your wait is never too long. His front office staff however are incompetent and at times rude and uncaring which is not a good look for the office as a whole.
Looked at wrong body part, mad at x rays, allowed two questions and walked out of room.
Dr. Lercel was so caring to my aunt when she had a fall that shattered her wrist that when my son broke his arm during a soccer game I chose Dr. Lercel for his treatment. Dr. Lercel went out of his way to accommodate my son who refused to miss any school for appointments. The staff in the front office was difficult work with. They would refuse to give us afternoon appointments and I had to get our medical group involved. Dr. Lercel was thorough and monitored his progress closely.
Dr. Lercel is unkind and uncaring. He showed no compassion and actually made fun of me because I needed a walker. It was only 6 days after a serious injury! He gave me no information and rushed out of the room only to poke his head back in the door to say I needed to go pick up a brace and go to physical therapy. This doctor needs to retake bedside manner 101. The office was chaotic and patients were yelling at the office staff. That should have been my clue to turn around and leave.
Dr. Lercel's staff members are unfeeling and incompetent. They never fax needed requests and reports in a timely manner or ever. Dr. Lercel and his staff show a lack of feeling when talking to you about your pain levels and as a result do not inspire confidence. The rules he has established for his staff are made to block you from talking to him or dropping off test results for his review prior to a future appointment. His 2.5 rating is deserved as compared to 5 star ratings from other Doctors.
His explanations are short and cold. He does not answer questions well. He is rough with hands and you will in more paint than when you arrived. He rushes out of the exam room. His office staff can not fax orders correctly, return messages, or reschedule appointments correctly. They are inconsiderate, have a negative attitude, and regularly make errors that waste many hours of the patient's time.
