Just to be clear, this hotel has new managment, and has been completely modernized both in and out. The rooms are a bit small, and the location is a bit out of the way from main street, BUT everything was NEW the rooms were VERY CLEAN the bed was EXCELLENT and the black dude at the front desk ( he may be the owner) was friendly and professional, and seemed to be the type of guy who wont allow rooms to be rented to anyone whose using it for a party place. Completely renovated the cutest California coastal style room with a cute barn door to the bathroom. We took a walk to the back of the property and discovered that there’s a small deck right on the peconic river we had our coffee out there. What an added bonus it’s the most inexpensive option in the area and a great value. We stayed there even though we hung out in Greenport. I’ll definitely be going back when I head out east.
I have to admit I was worried about the quality of the room based on reviews & outside appearance. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cleanliness & updated room upon checking in. The owner was friendly, the stay was quiet and amenities as you’d expect at any hotel. The room looks exactly as pictured on the website although it’s definitely nicer in person. Please bear in mind that these pictures were taken at the end of our stay and we were about to leave. The bed is a little messy since our toddler wanted a few more minutes on it, but overall, it looks like the Inn is undergoing renovations. The exterior walls were marble or marble-like tiles. The interior of the room was very clean and spacious enough for my husband, our toddler and myself. The bathroom was really, really nice: the shower and tub were both behind a sliding glass door.
