Green's Sports Bar is widely considered to be the best in the city and is a sports-lovers dream. You can call ahead and request that your game of choice be played, but odds are it's already on one of the 15 TVs and two big screens. Menu's for many of the local pizza parlors and restaurants are provided and can be delivered to you while you lounge. A great place to watch the game, Green's has local parking and is always a good time.

It is what it is – Big, crowded loud, with lots of TVs on Russian Hill. Seriously, this place doesn't need a review - you could guess what it will be like from a mile away. Only reason I wrote this review is that there are several really poor bartenders there and it often takes an unreasonably long time to get a drink, seemingly because they don't feel like getting around to it.
Best place to watch sports – This place makes it so easy! No matter where you sit or how crowded it is, you can see every sports game at the same time! It's unbelievable! I wish I would have known about this place sooner!
A Good Old Fashioned Sports Bar – There is always a fresh pint of beer, a game on TV, and a local patron ready to engage you in a debate on the sport of your choice. Although the regulars tend to be pro New York, the bay area teams are a close second. The bar can become a meat market when the payoffs are on, but is perfect to sit back and watch the Warriors take on the Grizzlies or a Bass Masters tournament. The service is great and my only complaint would be that there is a little too much Boston on the jukebox and one terr... read more
The Good, Bad and Ugly – Where else can you get TWO beers for $3 during happy hour? So many bitch about the staff but after a few visits they'll look after you fairly well. If anything the younger poser/pick-up scene is most annoying. The open air porch area and numerous TVs make up for the smaller space, which they've used well. Green's defines "Sports Bar" to a tee. (And Serge is HOT!)
Best happy hour deal in the city – This is hands down the best sports bar in the city. Bayside gets too crowded, and the people there aren't real fans. Greens is not about pushing food or a one time experience on its customers. Greens has loyal regulars that know sports. Jen is the best waitress. When you go ask for Jen. She's the one with the big smile.
Why Choose Another Place? – Greens Sports Bar is one of the only Bars in San Francisco that is so down to earth and makes you feel like your on the east coast. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is great and you couldn't ask for more from a sports bar. For those of you who don't appreciate it....go some place else. This bar provides the best service in the bay area. I wouldn't hang out anyplace else!
Obnoxious People Abound – The previous reviewer is correct. The people on both sides of the bar are arseholes and they smell like it too. The beer lines are never cleaned so the beer tastes awful. Never again
dive! dive! dive! – Davey Jones' Locker is what awaits you here, sunk in the cold and dark depths of the ocean of oblivion. This place is either heaving, where you run the gauntlet of annoyed pedistrians on the sidewalk or completely empty. I prefer it empty, as at least you can get served in a timely, if not, welcome manner. Service is bad, atmosphere is dire, no food, no snacks, expensive even for russian hill, overall crappiness prevails.
