I went for a variety of issues, including depression. Spent ~6 months visiting monthly. I was impressed with the psychologist's ability to dynamically strike the right balance between listening to my problems, suggesting pathways forward, guiding discussion, and validating my thoughts and feelings. I hope to never need psychology again, but should I, this will be my first stop.
I thought I was moving forward . We hit a roadblock where I was struggling to provide the next subject to talk about. I cancelled all of my upcoming appointments. Psychologist continually late yet cutting my sessions off at 10 minutes before the hour, eating lunch during our sessions.
Work required me to go after death of a child. She never said or suggested anything and gave me the impression she was watching the clock and was disinterested. I felt dismissed. Maybe good for someone who just wants to talk
