Extremely disappointed about this article from the Daily Reporter in Greenfield. The fact that they stated business owners were facing “beefed-up scrutiny as part of Greenfield Fire Territory’s campaign to improve fire safety” is very upsetting. I just want to say thank you to the Fire Department becoming better educated on fire safety and wanting better for our area which is what should have been presented instead of making it seem they are targeting business owners. I had a guest who looked through the paper and asked if sports was the only thing that was reported on. I was embarrassed to have to say yes. Show an interest in the excellent students who do not play sports; the band, chorus, drama students, and dancers. Tell the achievements of the students who excel in science, engineering, mathematics, and debate. Highlight the students who do volunteer work. Disappointed in your school sports coverage. You ran a whole front page story about GCHS Band winning State Runner Up but NOTHING about our GCHS Cheer team who also won State Runner Up on Saturday along with placing top five in the state for the third year in a row and our Coach receiving Indiana State Coach of the Year Award. None of this is mentioned or acknowledged at all.
