This place is a literal scam, I never review companies but this company is beyond bad. Do not get your electricity from here. I had a situation where I had to cancel the service in my name early, they would not stop trying to get me to state my current address when I told them I have a provider already and said I’m okay with paying $150 to cancel. I have been with this company for 11 years but will leave in November. Do not sign up with green mountain. Terrible customer service and high rates.

I transferred to another apartment. The apartment I was transferring to had a Switch Hold on it. I dealt with an employee named Lara. She informed me multiple times that the manager of the apartment would not take the hold off and I was responsible for releasing the switch hold. I do not know what it is. She has caused me mental distress. I have been a valued Green Mountain Energy customer for 4 years. I should not be responsible for resolving this matter and they have caused me mental distress. I am a new customer to this company. Today is one month. My first bill was for 15 days. I make it a habit to look at my bill, ( especially price per kilowatt) I signed up for free nights and a certain price per kilowatt. I knew by looking at my bill. Green mountain had did a bait and switch. They tell you that they are going to charge you one price but charge you another! I am disabled awaiting triple organ transplant. I have seen this before that’s why I noticed it so fast! ….CROOKS!
