This was my first visit to assess my bone on bone arthritic knee. The staff was excellent from the front desk to the techs, CNAs and nurses. Dr Ballard spent an hour with me explaining my conditions and my options. He was kind, empathetic, and precise in his explanations. I’ll be having the surgery in about 8 weeks. I trust this man. .
Thoroughly diagnosed my knee issue checking for any underlying problems. Treatment worked great!

Office personnel was cordial and professional. Dr. Smith was thorough and patient in explaining the diagnosis of my hands. I left my appointment confident Dr. Smith would successfully bring me relief.
Dr Ballard is first of all a Christisn. He came to my pre-op room and had prayer with me prior to my surgery. That meant a lot to me. After my Total Knee Replacement I walked to a wheel chair to be rolled out of the facility.. I had absolutely no pain after surgery. You can’t ask for anything better than that from a surgeon. I consider Dr Ballard to be the best orthopedic surgeon around. I’ll be having my other knee surgery in a few weeks and guess who will be doing it??? Yep! Dr Ballard. He’s the best!!
Gave me full confidence that he could fix my finger and the surgery failed and he doesn’t seem to care. Said there’s nothing he can really do for me. Paid $8,000 out of pocket.
I went to Dr Smalley for my knees that are getting worse with my osteoarthritis. The left is worse than the right but they are both getting more problematic with age I got steroid shots in each, I was terrified, but Dr Smalley was so good at it I hardly felt a thing . I got a brace for the left knee to help with support and oh my goodness what a difference. I had just literally been suffering in pain everyday miserably. It was an emergency. I broke my leg. This man did my surgery. 7 months later I am still on a walker as I cannot use my leg from the knee down. He totally messed me up. Another GOOD Dr. said he could fix it but it would take 2 more surgeries but at my age I can't as I have dementia and the last 2 surgeries have made it worse. Please don't go to him and let him mess you up too
Took my dad in barely walking dr Ballard quickly recognized his Alzheimer’s and personality. He cut up with him addressed his knee pain and today he is already walking much better. Dr Ballard is mine and my husband’s knee doctor as well! He is always professional and a great surgeon!
