If you are thinking about checking your child inpatient at Grandview, I warn any and every parent, do not do it. This lady absolutely does not care and should not have a license. Had I seen these reviews beforehand, I would not have. I’m currently still gathering all of my paperwork and notes to hopefully bring this situation, and many more, to a bigger light. Condescending, rude, and not qualified enough to pull being a psychiatrist. Should go back to medical school and try again.
She saved my son and I. I went to Grandview repeatedly growing up to the point they knew me during intake without even looking at the chart. I was such a defiant kid. She saw straight through me and told me what I didn’t want to hear. When I went there, oh my goodness did I despise her. Hindsight? She saved my life. She is always 40 minutes to an hour late to appointments, lacks compassion for patients and seems to be disconnected during sessions. I wish I could write something better about her, but as a 17 year old I wish she could respect my time and be on time to appointments as well. Do not schedule with her if you have a job, children, school, a social life etc.
She doesn’t even deserve the 1 star I gave her. 20 years ago, she may have been great and compassionate, but NOT now. Perhaps she has burnout. Well. … check yourself in and get some therapy. Her answer to any issue seems to be drugs. (Let’s just treat the symptoms!) There are other places to go for mental health concerns. And as long as Callahan is Grandview’s psychiatrist… I wouldn’t recommend you going there!
