We have had a scheduled knee surgery at Grays Harbor Community Hospital since the beginning of January for tomorrow. The hospital even went as far as calling today to give us the time we were supposed to be there in the morning. At 5pm, they called back claiming they don’t have the equipment necessary for the surgery and that it would have to be rescheduled. They have had almost 2 months to get the necessary equipment for this surgery. This is absolutely unacceptable to not be prepared for a scheduled surgery. I would not re... read more

How about entense cutomer service training. And somehow getting rid of the attitudes and thinking that the majority are there for pain pills. Because when someone comes up there with a legitimate injury or sickness, and it is all brushed off as an addict up there trying to get pain pills, and that person goes home and dies, GHCH is going to be sued.

I slid on the snow/ice and fell down and hurt my hip badly. The staff at GH Community Hospital were so nice and treated me very well, and even helped me find a comfortable position to lay on the exam table, so they could deal with my injured hip. Thankfully, my hip wasn't broken or dislocated, but the ER doctor was wonderful in helping me with it. GH Community Hospital is also the only one I have found on the harbor that is familiar with people who have cerebral palsy, which was wonderful. Keep up the good work!

This place is a joke...I could be dying and they don't care...last time this happened I had to be transferred to tacoma from elma after grays harbor community hospital sent me home...I had SIRS and nearly died...should sue this piece of junk hospital for not adequately doing their job. my dr sent me here but this snubnose dr at ghch continues to point out she's a "nurse practitioner" like her medical knowledge isn't good enough.

I have been a PHYSICIAN (Hospitalist) here for 3 years now. But, I want to narrate my experience when I chose this hospital to be a patient for surgery. I wanted to be taken care of by my colleagues who I know to be the most caring and compassionate people. This place is like a big family. Everybody works hard and there is great friendship and camaraderie! If my mother or sister needed medical care or inpatient hospitalization, this hospital is where I think they would heal the best and fastest !

I had my son there and was not from the area but had come with my husband for a job to do being close to date. The staff never treated me any differently, if not better than my own back home. Their communication with me, other staff and my staff back home, was exceptional! Every nurse I met was friendly, professional and made me feel like family. Doctor Majors delivered my son in such a gentle smooth fashion and my care afterwards made me wish this was my personal hospital. Highly recommend!

had a blood clot in my leg, waited 9hrs to be seen in a waiting room full of coughing, sneezing, crying children, in freezing ac, watching others leave after hours of waiting, wishing I could leave, too! Then after telling them I can't take a certain pain med, guess what gets prescribed? Not impressed with this hospital.
