Just checked out the new spot in Del Mar! Food and staff were all incredible. They handed out wiki sticks for the kids. We tried everything from the grilled cheese with Lobster, the Carnivore (grilled cheese with a burger), Avocado, Bacon and Tomato grilled cheese, and Kids Mac n Cheese. The new grilled cheese place at the Highlands, Grater, mark my words will be gone sooner than it came. Have gone in a couple times and the service has been beyond horrible. The cashier seemed so drugged out and extremely unfamiliar with the menu. Not to mention how the employees were yelling at each other behind the counter. Food portion was so small for the high price I paid. I left a yelp review and the owner messaged me and promised me a gift card to make up for what it lacked. They make a great burger and the caprice grilled cheese is excellent.
