Yesterday was our 1st visit to Grants. I can honestly say, this is now our "go to" Fav place! We were there at Happy Hour, where they offer 2 for 1 selected drinks. The house Red wine was Excellent. We ordered the Rib Eye steak which garlic mashed potatoes & asparagus came with. The entire dinner was seasoned & cooked to Perfection! The portion was generous. Came to visit my dad and we stopped in today for brunch. I had the Grant Skillet with the house made sausage. I have never tasted anything so fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely would eat here again and I wish it was located where I live.
The food at Grants is awesome. The service is great! Only negative is the size of the restaurant. It is really hard to imagine have a party of more than 4. Definitely my favorite local place to eat!
Just had brunch- It was great! The Monte Cristo is HUGE and awesome! Definitely coming back for lunch and dinner soon!
I highly recommend this place. It's a mom & pop joint that's not very big or fancy but it's very clean, comfortable and the food rivals any gourmet place downtown. The steaks we ordered were perfectly seasoned and cooked to our liking. The scalloped potatoes were layered high with sautéed mushrooms and herbs and the mac and cheese was one of the best, if not the best, I've ever had. The service wasn't great especially for how slow it was. The brunch selection is less than impressive and the food quality was poor. I ordered a side of sausage with the pancakes and I've never seen a sausage patty that was so fatty. I couldn't eat it and the waitress saw that the sausage wasn't touched and didn't take any time to ask how the food was. The waitresses were more worried about continuing their personal conversations than doing their job.
Eating here now our waiter hated us from the moment we walked in. As hard as we tried he never once smiled. We have never been dissapointed here, I suppose there us a first for everything.
Gave this place a shot because most of the reviews are positive. The burger was dry, overcooked and flavorless. It was supposed to be served on a pretzel bun but that's not true. Pulled pork sandwich had some flavor but was nothing spectacular. Also lacked the advertised pretzel bun. I would say that maybe we just had bad luck but other people said the same months ago, proving they haven't addressed the problems. I had grilled idaho trout with grilled Brussel sprouts with fancy fixings, and risotto rice. A lovely, light sauce reduction was drizzled over, not too much, just the right amount, yum!
