As a whole my stay there was very pleasant. Found that some nurses didn't speak to my visitors or me, unless they were my nurse and entered my room. My daughter and grandson was followed around by Karen (7p-7a) when they came up for a visit. Watching their every mood to point of them feeling uncomfortable. In because of CHF. Asked how much I weighed. Wasn't weighed until after about 4 days. Should have been weighed on entering. All scales are different.
My father is terminally ill, the only thing that can be done is to make him as comfortable as possible and the Drs. And Staff has done a phenomenal job. I couldn't ask for a better medical center to take care of him in his passing days
The staff in the ICU have been amazing. Roger's night nurse Tom and the nurse from today (I can't think of her name right now) have been great. They have taken great care of my uncle. They have also been wonderful with listening to all my questions and giving me information. I feel good about who is helping and taking care of my Uncle.

For the most part I have not had any bad experiences that I couldn't get over when dealing with this hospital, BUT one or two incidents stand out. I'm a 58 yr old male who has had multiple stays at Grant Medical Center, due to the fact that they accept my insurance an insurance I might add that allowed me to keep my existing physicians, cardiologist, family physician, etc. Not ALL Medicare supplements do so! Grant has been so good to me. From having my baby there two years ago to a mastectomy two months ago, they were awesome!
