Get directionsPlace is nice, but very understaffed. It also is unorganized. Most of the techs and nurses were helpful as well as the team I worked with while there. However you sometimes had to wait to get things you need, sometimes over a half hour to get items such as hygiene products. Also it would be nice if meals could be 10 minutes longer and the groups such as gym or art activities an extra 30 minutes. If anyone from the staff reads this, you need to add a tech and nurse to unit 3. 1 each for up to 16 residents can lead to frustrat... read more
I got involuntarily taken here when I was having a manic episode and into a psychosis. This place traumatized me. I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom and almost made to pee myself because they thought I was throwing up my medicine. Gave me a bunch of different medications and barely any water. Wouldn’t disclose what the medications were and why I was taking them, and said they wouldn’t release me if I don’t take my meds. I was actively being abused there, the food made me sick, and the type of stuff they say and do makes th... read more
I can’t recommend the php program enough. This has changed my life. Thank you to Hannah, Ann, Erin, Al, and Jasmine for being wonderful people. This program is just was I needed. This was the help I didn’t know I needed. So glad I found this place and if you do the work then you will change your life for the better. Thanks Granite Hills!!!
I truly appreciated Dr. Angie. She took the time to sit down with me, listen to what I was saying, and genuinely understand where I was coming from. She even agreed that it appeared I had experienced one isolated episode and told me she didn’t understand why I had been admitted as an inpatient because I seemed completely normal, which is exactly how I felt. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the same experience with the doctor in the mental health emergency department. I didn’t feel heard or understood by them. I also want to reco... read more
The inpatient facility sucks. I didn’t get any of my personal clothes until the day I left. The disposable underwear don’t fit plus size people. No tampons for women. On the other hand, I’ve gone thru their outpatient facility and it is amazing. I’ve grown so much as a person and learned so much to cope with my mental health. Hannah and Anne are amazing and do so much for us. I can 100% say that if it was not Hannah as our therapist I highly doubt I’d have made the progress that I have.
