Wife a new I spent our 26th anniversary at Granite City last night. LOVED the food, atmosphere, and beer. No bitches about the prices from us, you get what you pay for. Want cheap prices? Go to Buffalo Wild Wings and deal with teenagers all night.
Food was great! We had the brunch. Service was just OK... Table was still wet when we sat down. The omelet bar was outstanding and the omelet chef was super friendly. But the waiter was jacking around with the other waiters while my wife was waiting for her next mimosa. Look, I love the atmosphere and the food here. But it's HELLA expensive so I expect spot on service. Every time. Oh and there was no fresh fruit at on the buffet line. No fruit at all actually. Who wants a brunch buffet with no fruit I ask? Our waitress Megan was great, the steak and the burger were a delight. And the beer yeah it was good.
The service at the bar was 3 guys! None of them smiled or gave us eye contact when we would ask questions. A jagerbomb was $9....ridiculous! Once we were seated our service was great! Salads were great as well! But our appetizer of Idaho nachos was no where worth the $11 or more that we paid. They had barely any toppings on them. Used to be one of my favorite items in the menu...HORRIBLE this time

The food was great, the Raspberry De-light was awesome, but service was lacking. Not sure if they were having an off day, but overall service was awful: waited for them to clean a booth off & ended up helping so we could be seated. Took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks, 2 had bloody Mary's but served without the garnish. One person's food took an extra 15 minutes after others served, waited on everything, including our bills. This is the first time I have had service this bad, hoping it doesn't happen next time.
Very good food! Ate in the bar, no wait! Delish!
