I would not recommend this apartment complex. My daughter lives here. The owner recently terminated the best maintenance man they have had since my daughter moved in. The facilities are dirty. I lived in this place for almost a year, and it was a very unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, the manager seems to care only about keeping the reception area “clean” and handing out candy, T-shirts, or little gifts — but the rest of the building is in terrible condition. The hallways and trash chute areas are absurdly dirty, and the smell throughout the building, especially in the elevator, is awful. I wish I could leave less than a one star review. I lived at GrandMarc for 3 years and the first year and a half were fantastic. The old property manager, Andy, was phenomenal. However, they switched management and I’m surprised the new property manager is even able to get herself out of the house every day with her level of incompetence. Over the past 4 months my roommate and I have each been charged >$500 per month for the electricity bill when it used to be around $70. This apartment it self is good enough. I think the room is large enough by comparing with the other west campus apartments. I live in a studio, the furnitures and the design style are pretty nice. Besides, GrandMarc is quite close to the campus, especially convenient for those students have courses on the north side of the campus. The maintenance is usually around 1-2 days, not bad at all.
