About this business

Grand Isle Restaurant puts a fine dining spin on fresh-from-the-water Louisiana seafood. Diners will find all of the fresh seafood favorites that would be available at a Grand Isle fishing camp with refined touches to enhance the experience. Oysters are served or fixed one of three ways—Grand, Rockefeller, or Bienville—each way enhancing the oyster with a rich topping. They have changed their menu and it as fab. Get the mussels. It is my new fave with saffron in the broth. I am in love. We shared a bowl of the shrimp carminada which is normally a poboy but we requested just the shrimp and slaw part of the poboy. The flavors were phenomenal. Also had the redfish on the halfshell with menuiere, it was also really really good. Grand Isle has stepped up their game

Please don't waste your time or money here. The food is not worth the price and the service is absolutely terrible. To put it in perspective, there are multiple places to eat on Fulton street, on a Saturday night the wait at most was an hour minimum, this place 15 mins. Which was the only reason we even are here because we were hungry. This is the definition of a tourist trap and we will not make this mistake again. I still can't believe how rude the wait staff was... appalling.

We made reservations several days ahead of time and then were sat in the bar area for dinner. We were unable to enjoy visiting with one another bc of the volume level in the bar area, which is expected. They should have sat us in the restaurant area! We had a table of about ten people and it took over an hour for our food to come. The food was ok but didn’t meet my New Orleans restaurant expectations.
