In the dojo, all the students and instructors are very kind and willing to help one another. Each instructor will go out of their way to help a student if they are having trouble with certain moves or are just lost. Even the students will help each other if another needs help. The instructors demonstrate and train at a reasonable pace so that each student has a chance to learn and master a move. We are thrilled with Gracie Barra. Our son thoroughly enjoys Jiu Jitsu and has coaches who know how to balance hard work and letting kids be kids. If you are interested in this sport, this is the gym at which to train.

I was referred to GB Carlsbad by a friend for my Son to try out Jiu-Jitsu. Not sure if he was going to like it, I forced him to try one class. He put up a huge fight and did not want to go. I made him. He went through the class and I was waiting for the inevitable, my son to say he hated it. But after the class, he came up to me and said, "lets go talk to the Man! I want to sign up!!!". Great place. The coaches are amazingly helpful. Professor Aaron is extremely knowledgeable and a perfect role model for the kids. My son and I both go and enjoy the father son time immensely.

If your in need of a great environment that's positive filled with great people that are on the same path of bettering themselves then this is the place. As a father to two daughters I can't imagine a better sport to get my daughters in and it's directed by one of the best most caring Jiujitsu professors you'll ever come across. Professor aaron and his coaches Hector, Elijah, and the rest of the group are stand up individuals and take great care of the kids while they train and push them as well! come join our family!
