Being diagnosed at 75, nearly 76, I was surprised to have breast cancer after all of my years of mammograms. Fortunately, Dr. Grace Hou was recommended to me and I had a successful lumpectomy last week (03/03/21). Dr. Hou was the best surgeon anyone could ever imagine. In addition to her surgical expertise, she is so personable and down-to-earth. If you need a breast-cancer specialist, she's the one!!
Explains things thoroughly and in layman's terms with diagrams. Asks and answers all questions. Is very receptive to text messages and answers immediately. Couldn't be a more responsive surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Hou.

Dr. Hou has been my breast doctor through 2 lumpectomies. She is amazing! She sits down and spends at least an hour going through the process, the pathology as well as the stats for your particular cancer. She also goes through things you can do naturally to improve your health, unlike any other medical doctor I have been to. The results of my lumpectomies have been absolutely amazing, which certainly has helped my mental health through all of this. Dr. Hou is a wonderful Surgeon/Doctor. After being diagnosed with Breast Cancer and being a bit terrified she explained thoroughly my diagnosis and prognosis which calmed me down. I highly recommend Dr. Hou!
She is not only an expert surgeon. She has the best bedside manner and you know she honestly cares about her patient as a real person. I've seen her over the years and the only difference now is that we both have some grey hair. She is honest with you and gives a certain soft tough love if she thinks you may need to lose some weight, etc. She will put you at ease.
Yes I would recommend Dr. Hou to family and friends. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything in terms that were easily understood.
