About this business

Texas is the second-largest state in the United States. It covers more than 268,600 square miles. Spain was the first European power to lay claim to Texas and the state also flew the flags of France and Mexico before gaining its independence in 1836. Texas borders Mexico along the Rio Grande and embraces mountain ranges and canyons to the west; lakes, plantations and pine forests to the east; plains to the north; citrus groves, Gulf of Mexico beaches and low-lying alluvial plains to the south; and rolling hill country and cl... read more

Governor Abbott. I am concerned that so many trades have a state requirement for licensure, yet one trade in particular has absolutely NO requirement for licensing or other regulation: Roofing! Any idiot can advertise with no monitoring at all. This must change. I have had to deal with a large roofing company recently and even they were incompetent. No way to enforce any compliance, or quality.

I am against S.B. 6 "Bathroom Bill". It is aimed at a small group of people. It will violate their rights. It is bad for businesses and will increase their costs. It could even bring about a boycott of the state. It could cost San Antonio $235 million. At the time when the economy is recovering from the 2008 recession, this is the last thing we want. We don't want it. It's totally unnecessary. It is fear-based legislation.

Gov Greg Abbot i'm sure all criminals in texas thank you republicans and your SB 4 for forcing texas police to go after mexican workers instead of going after felons especially because you threaten to withdraw police and education funds from the already neglected communities that choose not to overwhelm their police force. Shame on you all.

Gov. Abbott is a true Texan who puts our state and our people first. As it SHOULD be. Now, please stop Common Core. Helping my granddaughter with her 3rd grade math a couple of days ago. OMG. I am a retired teacher and even I could not understand Common Core. It was completely ridiculous. We need to get back to simple things like multiplication tables!

I am deeply concerned about the Governors reduction of funding for children and elimination of facilities for women's health.

This summer while in a VA hospital I wrote a book, Siege in the Davis Mountains, that bears on matters significant to our state. In it is outlined how a covert operation stole 2.8 billion dollars from the Texas state treasury. It would bring me great joy to be part of an operation to restore that sum with much more for the benefit of my beloved state. This involves a secret I have kept for 40 years and now, with the advent of Trump in the presidency and you as state governor, I feel the time has come to exploit what this sec... read more
