Can we raise Texas minimum wage now? It's been $7.25 an hour for years. Employer's are paying $7.25-$13.00 an hour. How is anyone suppose to stay off public assistance and survive on these wages? The average rent has increased majorly. 1 bedroom apts in the DFW area are $900 and up. It's way overdue that wages increase.
I don’t recommend his office acting in his best interest. He’s not listening to the crys of the people of Texas. It’s time for a government that represents the people, not the person in the office....
RecommendedI love how Greg Abbott is passionate about keeping kids safe from predatory teachers in Texas schools and that he made it illegal for administrators to turn a blind eye to such crimes.

As a new resident of Texas (3 months) I have to say a big thank you to Governor Abbott for listening to my concern and then taking action. Just saw a news feed on FB that all of TX DPS drivers licensing centers are changing how business is done. I recently tried to obtain a TX drivers license, waited 6 hours and then discovered my number had been deleted from system and told to come by "tomorrow". anyways, to all the people who are told to wait outside because the capacity of 108. was met, be patient, this too will change. n... read more

RETIRED TEACHER
This is a comment about the state of our State Parks, Garner State Park in particular. I have been visiting this wonderful place since 1966. We just spent 8 nights (in 2018) with our grandkids at Garner. We have not stayed there since 1998 and were appalled at the state of the restrooms near the river in "Old Garner" They are filthy! Drains are stopped up. Cleaned only ONE time a day resulting in overflowing trash cans, dirt and who knows what on the floors.
