One of the Omaha originals and the food and service are the reasons this restaurant will be in Omaha for many more years! Great menu with multiple category choices. The Veal Parmigiana was excellent and the steaks were cooked to perfection. New to Omaha? Must be at the top of your list. Omaha resident? Should be on your regular visit list.
My filet was cooked perfectly, so tender, and well seasoned. Our server was wonderful, letting us take our time as we waited for another member of our group. This was a first visit for me, and I will definitely return the next time I'm in town.
Being surrounded by visual, audible & sensory delights of Germany while enjoying a vast array of choice beers, fine wines & spirits! No appetizer, soup, salad, main course or dessert is rushed & is prepared/ presented to perfection. We drove out of our way to eat at Gorat’s. My husband ordered the T-bone (cooked medium) and it was VERY RARE. I ordered the Whiskey Ribeye (cooked medium-well) and it was presented extremely rare, even more rare than my husband’s rare T-bone. The waitress never returned until the end of dinner to give us the check. It was very disappointing to spend over $100 on a dinner we couldn’t enjoy. And we did not drink alcoholic beverages. We had water and iced tea. It was definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
