I'm sure the food is amazing but the customer service was non existent. There was no one at front to seat us so we waited around and poked our heads around until finally someone acknowledged we were there. It was 1pm and there were a total of about 8 people dining. Finally a waitress brought us a water and we waited to have our order taken. They walked by us at least a dozen times and we waited. And waited. And waited. Great atmosphere and it is a very clean place with an updated look. We were really looking forward to this place especially based on their excellent reputation but unfortunately, our meals (10oz. Filet $40 & Lamb Chops $25) were way less than stellar. Both meals were cooked right but were very bland with no seasoning or flavor and they really missed badly! On a good note, the spinach-artichoke dip we had as an appetizer was actually very good and the wine helped a bunch! Cost for two: $110+ tip
Old school restaurant with old school service. It's been a very long time since you got both. Excellent food and service.
Sad to say the crowd and new demographics have moved on and left this fine old establishment a shell of its former self. Here's to many wonderful meals consumed there by generations of my family.
They have great steaks and a good variety of other things. My daughter loved the lobster. It can be a great place to take a date or just run over there after mowing your grass. They also have a party room if you have a large group.
